Songkran, a national celebration of the traditional Thai New Year, This takes place all over Thailand in mid-April. The date on 13-15 April every year.In the morning people go to temple to make merite by offering food to monks and novicec opserving the precepts five of eight precepts and listening to the Drama talk.In the afternoon they perform the bathing ceremony of the Buddha images and monks and novices who live in the temple. During this time the younger people ask blessing from the elders. This is knows as splashing feats.It might be said the Songklan fastival is the Respected festival to the elders or family day.
